Recently, we find there are fraudsters illegally offering foreign exchanges online speculation opportunity to induce victims to scan fake QR code and download fraudulent HSBC mobile banking application (app), which could lead to potential risk of financial loss and personal information leakage. We hereby sincerely remind customers that please do not scan the QR code from unknown sources or download mobile banking app through unofficial channels. If you wish to use our mobile banking, please always download it through HSBC official website or authorized app store. If you find any suspicious applications or QR codes, please contact us in time.

Notification of unexpected restrictions on the use of personal bank accounts

Dear customers,

In order to protect your account safety, we will regularly contact you to review personal and account information. During this time, you may encounter unexpected restrictions on your personal account usage, this may be caused by incomplete personal information you have retained with us. In accordance to the requirements in "the Administrative Measures on Due Diligence of Tax Related Information in respect of Non-Resident Financial Accounts", the Bank will conduct due diligence of tax related information in respect of non-resident financial accounts on the current pre-existing individual clients.
