Manage accounts / Check bills / View fees and charges / Use Reward Points

You can access and manage your account balance via Online Banking, Mobile Banking, Phone Banking and HSBC China WeChat Service Account. If you have an HSBC Debit Card you can also check your balance at any ATM machine.

You can activate your account via:

Mobile banking

1. Log on to your mobile banking, tap 'Your total assets'.
2. Select the dormant or inactive account.
3. Tap 'Reactivate account' to activate immediately.

Online Banking

1. Log on to your online banking, tap ‘My account'.
2. Select the dormant or inactive account.
3. Tap 'Reactivate account' to activate immediately.

• You can log on to the HSBC China Mobile Banking app, select 'More', then choose 'ID expiry date update'.

Note: Updating via the mobile app is currently unavailable for non-residents of mainland China including Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan residents. You can only do so if you're a resident of mainland China whose identity documents will expire within 60 days or have already expired, and who needs to upload their second-generation ID card to update the validity period.

• You can also bring your updated original documents to HSBC China branches to update your information.

Option1：After logging on to your mobile banking app, go to the 'Me' tab on the bottom menu, then under 'Settings & preferences'，select 'Personal information', you can update your phone number, email and address.

Option 2: Or log on to online banking with your PIN

1）Select 'My Banking' - 'Communication Preferences'.

2）Click "Edit personal details" to modify your information.

You can log on to online banking, select an account number, then you'll be able to check its latest 6 months' transaction records, such as the date, the size of the transactions, transaction details and your remaining balance. To further check the details of any particular transaction, simply click the date.

Rewards: Credit card primary cardholders and savings account holders can go to the 'Reward Points redemption' page in our e-shop to redeem your Reward Points for a variety of fabulous products, e-Coupons, vouchers and JD coin. Please note, the options of gifts depend on the type of accounts. 

You can log on to your mobile banking, enter the keyword 'Refer' in the top search bar, and tap ‘Refer a friend’.
