HSBC GBA Wealth Management Connect digital banking guide (for Northbound customers)

What digital banking channels does HSBC China have? How do I check my balance for my Wealth Management Connect account or make transfers?

Currently we have HSBC Online Banking, the HSBC China Mobile Banking app and the HSBC China WeChat Service Account. They provide a variety of latest services, products and events. You can go to the individual pages to find out which one suits your needs.

To check your balance for Wealth Management Connect and other accounts, you can log on to the HSBC China Mobile Banking app and go to the 'Balance overview'.

To remit money, you can do it via 'GBA Wealth Connect' on the 'Wealth' tab. Alternatively, you can also go to 'GBA WMC transfer' via the home page.

Simply enter the 'Amount' on the transfer screen, make sure that the 'Payee name' is the same as the Hong Kong account holder's English name. The rest of the information has been prefilled automatically for you to review and edit.

For outward remittance transactions via HSBC Wealth Management Connect Northbound services, you can enjoy a handling fee waiver until October 18, 2023.

How do I make an investment via Wealth Management Connect online?

You can do your Risk Profiling Questionnaire as well as make subscriptions, automatic investments, redemptions and conversions on the HSBC China Mobile Banking app and HSBC Online Banking.

Complete your Risk Profiling Questionnaire and Questionnaire of Knowledge and Experience

HSBC GBA Northbound customers will need to complete a Risk Profiling Questionnaire via the HSBC China Mobile Banking app before making any online investment or wealth management actions.

You can access the Risk Profiling Questionnaire in the following ways:

  • Go to 'Quick actions' on the home page, then select 'More' > 'Wealth Management' > 'Risk Profiling Questionnaire'
  • Select the 'Wealth' tab, then select 'Risk Profiling Questionnaire' via 'Quick actions'

Note: The Risk Profiling Questionnaire is only valid for 12 months. You can get a reappraisal anytime via the HSBC China Mobile Banking app.

Once you are done with the Risk Profiling Questionnaire, please complete the Questionnaire of Knowledge and Experience.

You can also select 'My investment' >'Investment products'> 'Local Unit Trust (distributed by HSBC China)' via HSBC China Online Banking, and make subscriptions, automatic investments, redemptions or conversions.
