Features

SMS Alert Messaging Service (SAMS)

Allows you to choose to be informed via your mobile phone or online@hsbc of pre-defined events such as movements on account balances, maturing term deposits or broadcasts from HSBC.

 

On-Demand Menu (ODM)

Allows you to enquire about information such as interest rates or exchange rates, product promotions and branch locations by typing "HSBC" (not case sensitive) to 138 172 16888. The ODM service is available to you even if you are not a HSBC customer.

Application

SMS Alert Messaging Service (SAMS) is only available to our personal customers. You can apply for the service in any of the three following ways:

• If you are already our internet banking customer, you can apply online at online@hsbc
• You can apply in person at any of our branches
• You can contact our Call Centre on 800-820-8878

Please note:

There will be no service charges for SMS services; users shall only bear any telecommunication fees, charges or expenses. Any information received under the SMS Services is for information only. All SMS messages are sent out by user's request and no account related operation could be conducted in SMS services.The bank will neither require users to provide any account numbers, passwords and other personal information, nor ask users to make payments or any other transactions through SMS. In order to protect customers’ rights, customers should inform the Bank as soon as possible, if there are changes of numbers by customers or loss, stolen, out of control of mobile phones.
