SMS Alert Messaging Service (SAMS)

Stay informed about your financial events, such as accounts movement and time deposits maturity, all through SMS on your mobile phone.

Receive notifications of any account activity by SMS on your mobile phone. It's easy account management at your fingertips.

Allows you to choose to be informed via your mobile phone or Personal Internet Banking of pre-defined events such as movements of account balances, maturing term deposits, loan account repayment due / overdue notice, Weekly/Monthly Mini statement with latest 5 transaction history or birthday greetings from HSBC.

Please note:

There will be no service charges for SMS services; users shall only bear any telecommunication fees, charges or expenses. Any information received under the SMS Services is for information only. All SMS messages are sent out by user's request and no account related operation could be conducted in SMS services. The bank will neither require users to provide any account numbers, passwords and other personal information, nor ask users to make payments or any other transactions through SMS. In order to protect customers' rights, customers should inform the Bank as soon as possible, if there are changes of numbers by customers or loss, stolen, out of control of mobile phones.

Application

You can apply for the service in any of the three following ways:

  • Directly apply in Personal Internet Banking
  • To setup Alerts for Loan Account, you can only apply in person at any of our branches
  • You can call our 24-hour free service hotline
