| Programme terms and conditions |
| 1. |
During the programme period, any customer who successfully opens an HSBC Advance account with HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited ("the Bank") and becomes an eligible Advance customer on any Evaluation Date of the programme will be entitled to one of the following gifts: one iPhone battery (colours vary), one pair of earphones or one weekend getaway bag. |

An Eligible Advance customer means a person: |

| (1) |
who is not an employee of the Bank; and |
| (2) |
who has not opened any individual account (whether sole or joint account) with the Bank before the programme start date (as defined in Clause 3 herein); and |
| (3.1) |
who on an Evaluation Date (as defined in Clause 3) of the programme meets the requirement of the HSBC Advance Minimum
Total Relationship Balance ("HSBC Advance Minimum Total Relationship Balance" means the aggregate amount of the
deposits and investment products held in all the accounts maintained by the same customer with the Bank should not be less
than RMB100,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency), OR; |
| (3.2) |
whose outstanding home loan balance with the Bank is no less than RMB 500,000 or its equivalent in any other foreign
currencies (for customers in Shanghai / Beijing / Guangzhou / Shenzhen); or no less than RMB 300,000 or its equivalent in any
other foreign currencies (for customers in other cities). The Bank will determine at its sole discretion whether a customer has fulfilled the above stated requirements to become an Eligible Advance customer on Evaluation Dates. |

| 3. |
Programme Period: From (and including) 7 March 2011 ("programme start date") to (and including) 31 May 2011.
Programme Evaluation Date: the last working day of March, April and May. Specifically, there are a total of three Evaluation Dates. They are 31 March 2011, 29 April 2011 and 31 May 2011.
Programme Evaluation Rule: ineligible customers on the 1st and/or 2nd Evaluation Date will automatically be evaluated on the last evaluation date.
Gift Redemption Notification Date: the 15th day of the month following each Evaluation Date (which will be automatically postponed to the immediate next working day in case of this day falls on a weekend or national holiday). The last working day of the month immediately following the Gift Redemption Notification Date is the deadline for customers to redeem the relevant gifts granted to them. |

For the programme of the Lucky Draw to win an Apple iPad and receive multi device charger as token gift: |

| a) |
During the programme period, any customer who has successfully conducted a face-to-face meeting in any branches/sub-branches of the Bank will be entitled to enter Lucky Draw. The Lucky Draw winner will receive a 32G Apple iPad. The Lucky Draw will be conducted in Shanghai via an automated system on 17 June 2011 and the winner will receive confirmation by telephone before 24 June 2011. The prize should be redeemed by winner with a valid ID card at the assigned branch. The Lucky Draw prize redemption deadline is 31 July 2011.

| b) |
Any customer who has successfully conducted the face-to-face meeting in our branches/sub-branches will also receive a multi device charger as a token of appreciation. The token gift should be collected in the same branch where the face-to-face meeting was conducted. |

| 5. |
For the programme of the Lucky Draw to win a Gold Rabbit: |

| a) |
During the programme period, any customer who successfully subscribes for personal Internet Banking service with the Bank will
be entitled to enter the Lucky Draw. One Lucky Draw winner will be selected each month. A Gold Rabbit will be awarded in March.
The award for April and May will be announced on HSBC website in due course. The lucky Draw will be conducted in Shanghai via
an automated system on 15 April, 20 May and 17 June. |
| b) |
Each Lucky Draw winner will receive confirmation by telephone before 22 April, 27 May and 24 June. The prizes can be redeemed
by winners with a valid ID card at the assigned HSBC branch. The Lucky Draw prize redemption deadline is 31 July 2011. |

| 6. |
The pictures of the gifts and the Lucky Draw prize are for reference only and the gifts and Lucky Draw prize will be provided on an "as is" basis and may be different from the photos. The gifts and Lucky Draw prize cannot be exchanged for other products or cash once they have been confirmed by the Bank. |

| 7. |
If for personal reasons, an eligible Advance customer or a Lucky Draw winner fails to redeem their gift / Lucky Draw prize in time, the gift/prize will be deemed by the Bank to have been forfeited and the Bank will offer no compensation. |
|
| 8. |
The gifts are available on a "first come, first served" basis while stocks last. The Bank reserves the right to replace the specified gifts with other alternative gifts at its sole discretion. Manufactures shall be responsible for the quality of the gifts and the Lucky Draw prize. The Bank is not liable for the quality of any gift or Lucky Draw prize. Please contact the manufacturer directly for any issues concerning quality. |

| 9. |
According to the PRC Individual Income Tax Law, the Bank will withhold the individual income tax payable in relation to the gifts and the Lucky Draw prize and file the tax returns to the relevant tax authorities for and on behalf of eligible Advance customers and Lucky Draw winner. The tax will be borne by the Bank. |

| 10. |
The Bank reserves the right to amend the rewards offered in this programme and these terms and conditions without prior notice. |
|
| 11. |
The Bank is not liable for any loss or damage of any redemption letter or product redeemed through this programme. |
|
| 12. |
Staff of the Bank shall not participate in the programmes referred to herein. |
|
| 13. |
The customers who participated in this programme can not take part in other programmes held by the Bank during the same period. Each eligible Advance customer is only entitled to receive ONE gift and/or prize during the programme period in related to each specific programme referred to herein. |
|
| 14. |
Customers who participate in this programme shall ensure that the personal information provided to and maintained by the Bank is true and accurate. In the event of any change in personal information, the customer should inform the Bank of such changes as soon as possible. The Bank shall assume no liabilities should the customer fail to acquire or redeem the gift/ Lucky Draw prize in the event that the Bank is unable to notify the customer of their gift by the prescribed gift redemption deadline due to the inaccuracy of, or change to, the personal information provided by the customer. |

| 15. |
In the event of any disputes regarding this Programme or the terms and conditions thereof, the Bank reserves the final interpretation right to the extent permitted by the relevant laws and regulations. |
|
| 16. |
In case of any discrepancies between these terms and conditions and other marketing materials related to this programme, these terms and conditions shall apply and prevail. |
|
| 17. |
In case of any discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions, the Chinese version shall apply and prevail. |
|
| 18. |
The programme is not applicable to the Bank's branches/sub-branches in Dalian. |
