Like all other HSBC services, Phonebanking is user-friendly. All you need to do is call our Phonebanking hotline on 800 820 8878. An automated voice service will help you carry out your transactions by providing simple, easy-to-follow instructions. When you need help during the call, you can press the '*' key to repeat information, return to the main menu, or talk to our professional Customer Service Representatives for assistance.

Secure and confidential

Privacy is assured. A unique phone banking number (PBN) and personal identification number (PIN) will be issued to enable you to use the service. Your account can only be activated by keying in both PBN and PIN.

Both our automated Phonebanking service as well as our Customer Service Representatives are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

 

Three easy steps to Phonebanking

• Dial 800 820 8878 from a tone-dial phone and choose your preferred language (English or Mandarin)

• Listen to the main menu and select a service option

• Enter your ten digit PBN and six digit PIN for transactions

Obtain account information including:

• Balances of savings accounts, time deposits and loan accounts

• Last five credit/debit transaction details


Conduct transfers and payments including:

• Transfers between your own HSBC accounts

• Predesignated account transfers for corporate customers only


Obtain rates by phone or fax including:

• Time deposit interest rates

• Foreign exchange rates


Manage your time deposits including:

• Set up new time deposits

• Change maturity instructions for existing time deposits


Conduct a host of other services including:

• Request statements by post or by fax

• Change your PIN

• Request new cheque-books

• Track issued cheques


In addition to the above services offered to registered customers, non-HSBC customers can also access the following Phonebanking services without a PBN or PIN:
