Operations Design and Development in China

Operations Design and Development plays a critical role in delivering system solutions and enhancing the Bank’s productivity and efficiency.

The department comprises of sections which perform re-engineering of work processes and manages migration and outsourcing of processes to the Group’s Global Service Centers and local service providers. It also co-ordinates the implementation and upgrading of interfacing systems among various business lines and the IT department as well as provides critical post-release support up to “business-as usual” stage. What’s more, Operations Design & Development also serves as an on-going helpdesk for users in the post-implementation phase of HSBC Universal Banking (HUB) development projects, identifies best use of existing systems and system training needs.
